Disciple James log: Unless waging humanity, waging love, carries extreme risk, it has no hope.

Unless waging humanity, waging love, carries extreme risk, it has no hope.

That vehicle is a hot mess. Stop driving it before someone winds up dead. This from the expert wheel building group member on Facebook to my post about the rear motorcycle wheel.

I don't take this admonition lightly.

Avoiding the risk of death is the stated hide behind goal of the inhumane coward. And these proliferate in our society. Especially on the left. Especially among the privileged.

Unnecessary death is all around us. For perspective:

One small example: Excessive alcohol use was responsible for about 178,000 deaths in the United States each year during 2020–2021, or 488 deaths per day. This was a 29% increase from 2016–2017, when there were an estimated 138,000 deaths per year. These estimates are from the CDC's Alcohol-Related Disease Impact (ARDI) application.

Another: 140 children are being slaughtered every day in Palestine by the United States and Israel because we are not waging humanity, we are not waging love.

We accept that in waging wars of violence in support of our selfish aims, well, there's going to be collateral damage.

There is no true waging of humanity, waging of love, that does not come with extreme risk of collateral damage, though the major risk in this case is to the one waging.

To be selfishly careless, reckless, is the opposite of waging humanity, waging love. As is cowering behind criminally selfish, oh well I have to be sure that no one gets hurt. Millions are getting hurt. Billions are hurting, because we are not waging humanity, we are not waging love. Courageously, responsibly, selflessly.

Like Jesus did.

The Hippocratic oath comes to mind, do no harm. That's always bothered me. There's some merit to it but there's something very troubling about it. Correctly it would be stated more like, do no net NET harm, certainly to others, but hopefully not to oneself either.

As with all posts, thoughtful input appreciated.

  1. It's unreal our level of distraction from what is really important, for the ones that realize that we can not let that dissuade us from carrying on and keeping our fathers will intact, keeping the Faith!♥️♥️♥️
