I think this is the face of every disciple. The inside face.
Era disciple because their humanity is alive and constantly being exercised, unleashed. Because their Humanity is alive and constantly being exercised, they are constantly immersed in the cesspool of rotting dying Souls and the world that has been created by these rotting dying souls.
And the disciple does not flee that, even if they can. There may still be some Souls with life in them that can be rekindled to some degree and that is where the joyful Abundant Life is. It's quite a paradox.
Every breath they Wade in the stench, with grief, with horror, with the joyful life of trying to help another soul.
How much longer must I be among you, Jesus shouted in anguish towards the end.
